The Flame Sensor Infrared Receiver Module is an Arduino-compatible ignition source detection module designed to detect flames or light sources with wavelengths ranging from 760 nm to 1100 nm. It is capable of detecting lighter flames from a distance of up to 80 cm. The detection range increases with the intensity of the flame.
The module features a detection angle of 60° and offers high sensitivity to flame spectra. It provides a single-channel digital output signal through the D0 terminal, making it suitable for integration with alarm systems, switching circuits, and microcontroller-based applications.
Sensitivity can be easily adjusted using the onboard blue potentiometer. The module also includes a signal indicator LED that lights up when a flame is detected and the output signal becomes active. The output can be directly interfaced with a microcontroller I/O pin.
Due to its high sensitivity to flames, the sensor may also respond to ordinary light sources, making it especially suitable for fire detection and fire alarm applications.
Applications:
- Fire detection systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire-fighting robots
- Drying systems
- Industrial gas turbines
- Gas-powered cooking appliances
